1. Promotion Overview
The Helix Monsters™ TCG Global Creator Challenge (the “Challenge”) is an art submission contest open to eligible participants worldwide. The Challenge invites artists, creators, and monster designers to submit original creature artwork inspired by the Helix Monsters™ TCG universe for a chance to win exclusive prizes.
2. Eligibility
- Open to participants 13 years of age or older at time of entry.
- Participants under 18 must have parental or legal guardian consent to enter.
- Employees, officers, directors, and immediate family members of Helix Monsters TCG and North Coast Comics are not eligible.
- Void where prohibited by law.
- No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning.
3. Challenge Period
- Submissions Open: August 10, 2026 at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (ET)
- Submissions Close: September 10, 2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (ET)
- Judging Period: September 10, 2026 – September 30, 2026 (20 days)
- Top 25 Winners Announced: September 30, 2026 at 9:00 PM ET
- Top 4 from 25 Announced: October 7, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET
All times are Eastern Time (ET). Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device.
4. How to Enter
During the Challenge Period, visit helixmonsters.com/pages/creator-challenge and complete the submission form with the following required information:
- Your full name or artist handle
- Email address
- Creature Name
- Lineage (Pyro, Aquants, Verdants, or Psyches)
- Submission Category (New Creature, Alt Art of 1st Edition Monster, or New Species)
- Short Creature Description
- Original artwork file (PNG or JPG, one file per submission)
Limit one (1) submission per person. Multiple submissions from the same person will result in disqualification of all entries from that person.
5. Submission Requirements
- Artwork must be 100% original and created by the entrant.
- AI-generated artwork is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
- Artwork must fit within the Helix Monsters™ universe theme (DNA, genetics, evolution, bio-engineering).
- Artwork must belong to one of the four lineages: Pyro, Aquants, Verdants, or Psyches.
- Accepted file formats: PNG or JPG only. One file per submission.
- Submissions must not contain offensive, obscene, or inappropriate content as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.
- Submissions must not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights.
6. Judging & Winner Selection
All eligible submissions will be reviewed by the Helix Monsters Creator Challenge Judging Panel. The panel will select 25 winners based on the following criteria:
- Creativity and originality
- Fit within the Helix Monsters™ universe and chosen lineage
- Artistic quality and execution
- Adherence to submission rules
From the 25 winners, Luke Hofmann, creator of Helix Monsters TCG, will personally select 4 submissions for potential consideration for inclusion in the Helix Monsters TCG 2nd Edition card set. Selection criteria for the top 4 includes gameplay fit, evolution line compatibility, lore, artwork requirements, and overall game balance.
Judges’ decisions are final and binding in all matters related to this Challenge.
7. Prizes
Top 25 Winners
Each of the 25 selected winners will receive:
- One (1) exclusive, playable The Creator Promotional Helix Monsters TCG card — never included in booster packs, Genesis Decks, or future standard decks
- Official Certificate of Authenticity signed by Luke Hofmann
- Card shipped securely to winner’s address of choice
Approximate Retail Value (ARV) per prize: to be determined by Sponsor.
Top 4 Additional Winners (selected from the 25)
Each of the 4 additionally selected winners will receive:
- All prizes listed above
- A direct conversation with Luke Hofmann regarding their submitted design for potential inclusion in the Helix Monsters TCG 2nd Edition card set
Important: Selection for potential 2nd Edition inclusion does not guarantee final publication. Final inclusion is subject to development, balancing, production, and editorial requirements. Additional licensing terms will be discussed directly with the 4 selected artists before any commitment is made.
Prizes are non-transferable and no cash substitution is permitted except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
8. Artwork Rights & Intellectual Property
Entrants retain full ownership of their submitted artwork. By submitting an entry, each entrant grants Helix Monsters TCG a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and share the submitted artwork for promotional purposes directly related to the Creator Challenge (e.g., announcing winners, social media promotion of the event).
For the 4 artists selected for potential 2nd Edition consideration, any additional licensing, collaboration, or publication rights will be negotiated and agreed upon separately in writing before any publication commitment is made. No rights beyond the promotional license above are granted by submission alone.
Entrants warrant that their submission is their own original work, does not infringe any third-party rights, and that they have full authority to grant the license described above.
9. Winner Notification
Winners will be notified by email using the address provided at submission. Winners must respond within 14 days of notification to claim their prize and provide a valid shipping address. Failure to respond within 14 days may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner.
10. General Conditions
- Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the submission process or violates these Official Rules.
- Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Challenge if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Challenge.
- By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are final.
- Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete submissions.
11. Privacy
Personal information collected through this Challenge will be used solely for administering the Challenge and notifying winners. Information will not be sold to third parties. By entering, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal information for these purposes. See the Helix Monsters Privacy Policy for more information.
